Baby_RoomMaking the decision to leave your baby is daunting for parents. It takes time to find the right place and you will need to have that “good gut feeling” before you feel comfortable about your decision.

At Happy Hours we understand that this is a very difficult transition for a lot of parents. We adopt a home away from home attitude and we only accept three babies each year.

We offer a settling in period to help make the transition a little easier for you and your baby.  During this time you and your baby will get to know their primary care giver, who in turn will get to know your baby’s personality, routine and needs. This primary care giver will become an important person to you and your baby and a bond will form with all involved during the settling in period.

Your baby will have his / her own special book that you can take home every evening to monitor their nutrition, sleeping, medical administration, nappy changing and general mood on a daily basis. This will give you a literary picture of your baby's day so you will be aware of all changes as your baby grows and develops with us.

Babies learn from their environment, we provide a happy caring  environment that will encourage the development of a strong bond with care givers to ensure your baby feels loved and secure. We will help to develop their fine and gross motor skills (holding items, rolling, pulling, standing and crawling). Our activities and materials will encourage your baby's natural curiosity and provide further learning experiences.

Our staff  are very aware of the importance of monitoring your baby’s progress. We regularly observe and record progress to allow us to help your baby in their Holistic development. We promote your baby’s communication skills by providing them with the attention required for healthy social interactions through talking with the babies, action songs and nursery rhymes, age appropriate stories and general interactions like smiling, hugging, laughing and playing games and activities.
